Health is an important aspect of human life and a vital determinant of our overall wellbeing. A healthy and optimistic population is the foundation of a great economy and prosperous society. Unfortunately, in our society, basic health problems remain a major issue. Many individuals suffer from chronic physical and mental illnesses, making it difficult for them to lead an active and healthy lifestyle. In this article, we will discuss some of the most common basic health problems faced by our society.

Common Health Problems in our today’s society include:

1. Diabetes: Diabetes is a serious health problem that occurs as a result of an improperly regulated metabolism. Symptoms include frequent urination, extreme thirst, and extreme hunger, and can lead to complications such as nerve damage, amputations, blindness, and heart disease. 

2. Mental Illness: Mental illnesses, such as depression, anxiety, and stress, are just as serious as any physical illness. They can be debilitating, often leading to feelings of hopelessness, isolation, and suicidal thoughts. It is important to recognize the signs of mental illness and seek necessary treatment before it is too late. 

3. Obesity:  Obesity. It occurs when a person’s body mass index (BMI) is higher than it should be. Obesity is associated with multiple health conditions such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and respiratory issues, and can significantly diminish life expectancy. 

4. Chronic Diseases: Chronic diseases such as cancer, asthma, arthritis, hypertension and stroke can have a tremendous impact on physical and mental wellbeing. Treatment may involve lifestyle changes, medications, or even surgery. Staying healthy and fit through diet and exercise may help stave off these conditions.

Health is a vital aspect of human life, but unfortunately, basic health problems remain a major issue in our society. Many individuals suffer from chronic physical and mental illnesses, making it difficult for them to lead an active and healthy lifestyle. It is important to recognize the signs of physical and mental illness and seek necessary treatment to ensure the best results. With proper awareness and services, we can improve the health of our society as a whole.
