In a bid to strengthen the legacy of goodwill bequeathed by his predecessor, the president of the National Union of Borno State Students-NUBOSS, Comr. Ahmad Kyari has continued to advocate for the welfare of the students, with the latest intervention focusing on outstanding scholarship stipends.
In a recent meeting with the Executive Secretary of the scholarship board, the NUBOSS President, Comr. Ahmad Kyari, discussed the issue of students who have yet to receive their stipends – scholarship, while reminding the ES that schools are resuming this week of which the stipend will play a crucial role in curbing the hardship students are facing.
The ES assured the President that the necessary steps have been taken to address the matter, revealing that the workaholic and student-centric Governor of the state, Prof. Engr. Babagana Umara Zullum Mni FNSE, had already received the summary of the paid scholarships and approved the remaining amount. The disbursement process is expected to resume shortly.
The President expressed gratitude to the ES for his tireless efforts in ensuring that the scholarship reaches the intended recipients. He also commended the Governor for his tireless support and commitment to the wellbeing of students in the state.
