In an attempt to promote quality leadership and coordination between voters and their new representatives, The ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar Foundation headquartered in Bauchi has organized a special seminar on the newly-elected members of the Bauchi State House of Assembly and the Federal House of Representatives from Gamawa Local Government in Bauchi.
Speaking at the seminar which was attended by prominent community leaders from Gamawa and beyond, Alhaji Bello Muhammad Tukur, the director-general of the foundation thanked the residents of Gamawa local government for doing their best to produce an APC member of the Federal House of Representatives, and a state member of Bauchi State House of Assembly. He called on the patriotic residents of Gamawa local government to be steadfast and continue to coordinate with the Tuggar Foundation and promote development, social empowerment, and bringing development closer to the people who massively voted for them under the APC, emphasizing that the Yusuf Maitama Tuggar Foundation would continue to promote quality leadership all over Bauchi State.
On his turn, Alhaji Adamu Aliyu Zanna, APC spokesperson, emphasized that despite losing the governorship election to the incumbent governor, Bala Muhammad, Gamawa residents massively voted for APC during the presidential and governorship election which in so small measure enabled the presidential candidate, Bola Ahmad Tinubu to bridge the margin and acquired the much needed 25% threshold in Bauchi. He also affirmed that Gamawa would continue to rally behind Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, Nigeria’s ambassador to Germany, who not only supports various communities in the state but also grooms future leaders as evidenced the victory of Adamu Ibrahim Gamawa as member Federal House of Representatives, Gamawa Constituency and Hon. Ahmad Muhammad Lele as a member Bauchi State House of Assembly representing Kudugo constituency from Gamawa thanks to the copacetic role played by Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar to ensure the communities continue to work with the elected APC candidates and bring development closer to the people especially in remote villages and beyond.
On his part, Hon. Ahmad Muhammad Lele, while presenting his certificate of return, thanked the good people of Gamawa for believing in him and his capacity to deliver. He stated, the remote communities of Gamawa local government are in dire need of support and developmental projects, and he promised to use all his power and influence to alleviate their suffering especially when it comes to the water supply crisis which affects almost 70% of Gamawa residents. He also promised to provide his constituency with scholarship opportunities and youth empowerment which are keys to sustainable development.
Hon. Adamu Ibrahim Gamawa who was reprented by Hon. Ahmad Muhammad Lele thanks the people of Gamawa Federal Constituency for giving him the opportunity to represent them at the Federal House of Representatives, singling out Ambassador Maitama Tuggar as the godfather whose influence made the APC gain a huge support from the rural communities in Gamawa and beyond.
Speaking to the Daily Review Newspaper, Alhaji Bello Muhammad Tukur said Yusuf Maitama Tuggar Foundation aims to promote quality and responsible leadership in Bauchi and the foundation has involved directly in coming to the rescue of vulnerable people and community in all aspects of life, and the foundation set up by the Nigerian ambassador to Germnay would to continue to strengthen democracy and accountability in governance not in Gamawa but also Bauchi State as a whole.
He also promised to ensure that the elected representatives do not betray the people who massively voted for them. He thanks those who managed to attend the symposium, wishing them a safe trip back home.
