Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has promised a new lease of life for workers in the state and his administration’s commitment to ensure an improved situation for them.

Adeleke stated this, yesterday, during the swearing-in of the newly-appointed Head of Service (HoS), Mr. Samuel Ayanleye Aina. He also promised to govern the state with the fear of God and ensure that no one is denied his or her benefits.

The governor, who urged the workers to be his administration’s partners in taking the state to a greater height, expressed optimism that the workers would give the new HoS necessary support to transform the state.

He said that payment of workers’ November salary had already commenced, adding that he would not disappoint the people of the state. He said: “All Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) have complied with my directive to submit their salary schedules and I have just signed the instruction for the immediate payment of salaries. Workers are to start receiving their salaries. I know you love me and I love you too.”

In his brief speech, the new Head of Service, Mr. Samuel Ayanleye Aina, said the service under him would ensure professionalism and ethics that define their work, assuring workers to promote their interests.

He pledged the cooperation of the state’s workforce to the Adeleke administration, saying that the civil service as an important institution would work with the government to deliver benefits for Osun people.
