FCT Police Launch Investigation into Alleged Kidnapping, Attempted Murder

Must read

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the receipt of a suspect, Joseph Efe, 30, from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). Efe is implicated in the alleged kidnapping, robbery, and attempted murder of 25-year-old Olivia Ijeoma Chukwuemeka, originally from Abia State.

Efe was arrested on September 17, 2024, following a disturbing incident at the Top View Hotel in Wuse, where Chukwuemeka was reportedly confined against her will. Viral video footage has circulated online showing the victim gagged and bound, raising significant concern about the motives behind her captivity, which are believed to involve ritualistic elements.

The FCT Police have initiated a discreet investigation and emphasized their commitment to collaborating with relevant security agencies to combat crime within the territory.

SP Josephine Adeh Anipr, the Police Public Relations Officer, stated that the police are dedicated to ensuring justice and maintaining public safety in Abuja.

Further updates on the investigation are expected as authorities continue to gather evidence.
