NAF Destroys IED Factory, Terrorist Gun Trucks in Devastating Airstrike on Tumbuktu Triangle

‎The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under the auspices of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), has recorded a major tactical success following a precision airstrike that destroyed an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) factory, terrorist gun trucks, and eliminated dozens of insurgents in Kwaltiri, located within the notorious Tumbuktu Triangle of Borno State.

‎The air interdiction mission, conducted on 18 June 2025, was initiated based on credible intelligence reports indicating heightened terrorist activity in the area. Subsequent surveillance operations confirmed the presence of an active IED production facility and several armed vehicles.‎

‎Acting on the gathered intelligence, NAF aircraft executed multiple precision strikes on the identified locations. The operation inflicted significant damage on the terrorists’ infrastructure, disrupting their command and control systems, as well as key logistics networks.

‎“The successful strikes not only disrupted their command and control as well as logistics chains but also sent shockwaves through their ranks, significantly degrading their morale and operational momentum,” the NAF said in a statement.

‎This latest offensive marks a critical step in the ongoing campaign to dismantle terrorist strongholds and reinforces the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to neutralizing threats and enhancing security across the North East.
