The Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS) received 42 complaints in September and October.
The Commander of the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS) Kano State Command, Abdullahi Al-ameen made this known in an interview with the News Agenct of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Kano.
”The service is trying its best to leave up to its mandate, which include prevention, detection of crimes and illegal activities perpetrated in the forests.
”Out of the 42 complainants, 30 have been treated and done with, while 12 are pending.
“Most of the cases were on animal theft, kidnapping, phone theft, thuggery, motorcycle theft, rape among others.
“We will continue to secure and make forests a crime-free zone”,he said.
Al-Ameen solicited the cooperation of the public toward making Kano crime-free.
NAN recalls that the NHFSS said it received 19 complaints in August. (NAN)
