As someone hardworking, committed, and dedicated to his work, during his stay with RAMPOLY, he was elevated to the rank of Computer Engineer. After graduating as a first-class student at Sharda University, Bababe snubbed many employers in India and came back to Borno, out of patriotism to serve his fatherland. Between 2017 and 19, Bababe was laden with the task of National consultation/ Area coordination under the UNDP. From 2019-2020, Bababe was the Personal Assistant to the Executive governor of Borno state, H.E, Prof. Engr. Babagana Umar Zullum Mni FNSE. While serving as the Governor of Borno state, Bababe’s unprecedented loyalty and trustworthiness have earned him the Executive Secretary of the Borno state Geographical Information Service — BOGIS. ( an unquestionably deserving position as he has Professional Level Skills in Geographical Information System (GIS) Technologies).
One thing that has distinguished him as an apotheosis loyalist to Zullum and many prominent personalities in Borno is his unquestionable integrity, and untiring deliverance of assignments correctly and properly without disloyal tendencies. Thus the name, “Amanan Zullum”. Apart from the fact that he’s besieged by many party stalwarts, even community leaders, traditional rulers, and numerous people trace his footstep to court friendship so that they can put a word into the ears of Zullum.
Bababe has played vital roles across Borno, especially in terms of land administration and management. Under his stewardship as the Executive Secretary of BOGIS, Bababe generated 1 billion nairas as revenue to the Borno state government in just 12 months (2021). Arguably, an unattainable record in the history of Borno’s revenue generation. Despite the demolitions of illegal buildings in the state, he built a felicitous shopping complex comprising 72 sets of shops for the victims; built a mechanic village; and 3 proposed plans of the former in 3 places — Gamboru, Monguno, and Biu— which are inline with one of the 10 pack agendas of Zullum’s administration.
We can corroborate the fact that digitally recorded data are always in a safer place. When Bababe came in as the ES, he transformed the land from analog to digital and migrated legacy files into electronic databases through the Developed Digital Land Registry. This has helped in managing and securing confidential and legacy files. This advancement has improved the management and security of confidential and legacy files. Withal, this propitious development has vanquished the sense of doubt and instilled optimism in the hearts of landholders.
The young, versatile man sanitized land transactions in Borno state. When he came into the office, he tackled all fraudulent activities bedeviling land acquisition. Many people have gotten the opportunity to regain their money and properties from the hands of mischievous scammers. This has made most if not all, fraudsters sheath their fraud; And, subsequently got rid of them. Today most land buyers are wary about buying land as they have gotten much enlightenment from the BOGIS.
He made the acquisition of land easier. At the inception of his duties, some people labeled him as an incongruous figure because of his strictness. Nevertheless, today, the ‘Iron man’ acquired land with no hindrance. Those who abhor, and born grudges against him are regrettably pondering over their shameful actions.
In addition, Bababe has contributed profusely to job creation in the state. Under his stewardship, he brought to existence many units in the BOGIS which consequently lead to the employment of a plethora of youths. He donates grants capital for youths to start businesses, severally. This is to mention, but a few of his herculean and potent contributions.
Bababe’s incessant humanitarian service has uplifted many Bornoans from abject poverty. Humanitarian service is to save lives, alleviate suffering, donate, and protect vulnerable and crisis-affected individuals. You can categorize Bababe from this perspective. His humanitarian service is spectacular in many forms; from warning individuals present at the very scene of his humanitarianism to taking off cameras, to secretly making donations to vulnerable people on their doorsteps. During the outbreak of covid 19 pandemic which eventually led to the enforcement of lockdown, Bababe donated food items, cash, and farm inputs to vulnerable people in the state. During his recent visit to his hometown, the young philanthropist donated a whopping amount of 5 million nairas and 300 bags of foodstuffs to the people. Many of his humanitarian aids are not exposed because he anonymously makes them.
One exceptional personality of Engr. Bababe which endeared him to us is his unflinching love and incessant support for students. The young man untiringly attends to calls, visitations, and invitations from students. On September 15, 2023, he attended the occasion of Ramat Engineering Students Association and donated the sum of 1 million, undergraduate scholarship to the best-graduating student, and free vocational training to many students. During the familiarization visit of the National Association of Borno State Students— NUBOSS — to him, Bababe donated a plot of land for the building of the NUBOSS secretariat. On his attendance, at the ceremony held by the Borno state Coalition of Political Forum, Clubs and Associations (BOCOFCA) he donated 5 million nairas and a well-polished office to them.
This is an undeniable reason to love the erudite Bababe. Today, People of his caliber are very rare. With the exceptional and tremendous milestone services he is rendering for Borno, I believe Bababe deserves our utmost commendation.
