The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has recorded major breakthroughs in its war against drug trafficking, arresting an ex-convict Malaysian returnee with methamphetamine hidden in music speakers and intercepting massive quantities of opioids and cannabis in coordinated nationwide operations.
International Trafficker Nabbed in Adamawa
The NDLEA also reported the arrest of a notorious drug trafficker in Adamawa in person of Ndubuisi Udatu (aka Richard), 41-year-old ex-convict
It was revealed that 2.7kg methamphetamine concealed in music speakers was intercepted from the suspect at Namtari checkpoint, Ngurore-Yola road.
The suspect also rconfessed that he returned to Nigeria to continue to engage in drug trafficking despite serving jail in Malaysia.
“I returned to Nigeria to continue drug trafficking after serving jail term in Malaysia for same offense,” Udatu admitted
Cross-Border Opioid Bust
In another development NDLEA raided the Mfum border post, Cross River State, and arrested a suspect named Odoh Peter Ikechukwu, 35. During the arrest, the anti-drug agency managed to seize 8,740 ampoules (395kg) of fentanyl, morphine and other dangerous opioids
