Reno Omokri Slams Rapper 50 Cent Over Planned Movie On Hushpuppi

The G-Unit Records founder wrote in the caption, “For my scammers, I gotta do this one. Hushpuppi series coming soon! GLG, Green Light Gang I don’t miss. #Bransoncognac #lecheminduroi #gunitfilmandtv.”

Not Impressed

In a post shared on Twitter, Reno Omokri expressed displeasure over the decision of 5O Cent stating he is not impressed with the movie plans.

He noted that the latest development will further tank Nigeria’s already battered image in the face of other countries.

According to Reno, there are other positive things and stories to tell about Nigeria instead of doing a movie about fraud.

He wrote: “Not impressed by 50 cent planned movie on Hushpuppi. It will further tank Nigeria’s already battered image.

“Many positive things come out of Nigeria, like Dr. Oluyinka Olutoye, the first man to successfully perform surgery on an unborn baby outside its mother’s womb and restore it back in its mum’s womb after the procedure. Do a movie about those!

If 50 Cent really wants to do a movie about fraud, then he should consider doing one with Bernie Madoff, an American who stole $50 billion, thereby pulling off the biggest heist ever on earth”

Hushpuppi Sentenced To Prison

A United States District Court sitting in the Central District of California on Monday sentenced Hushpuppi to 11 years and three months.

The Nigerian was found guilty of laundering proceeds of a school financing scam, business email compromise, and other fraudulent cyber schemes.

Hushpuppi is expected to spend only nine years in prison, having spent two of the eleven years sentence in jail during the trial.

Hushpuppi was arrested in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in June 2020 and was extradited to the United States on July 3.

He was arrested for defrauding over 1.9 million people, the majority of them being Americans.

The 37 years old had earlier pleaded guilty to the charges filed against him during the trial.
