Singer Portable Arrested in Kwara Over Defamation, Threat to Life Allegations

The Kwara State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of popular singer Habeeb Badmus, widely known as Portable, over allegations of criminal defamation, threat to life, and incitement to violence.

In a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, the arrest followed a formal petition filed cby Mr. Okunola Saheed (aka Osupa), accusing Portable of riminal defamation, threat to life, character assassination, incitement and conduct likely to breach public peace, and use of abusive and insulting language.

“The command is committed to upholding the rule of law and ensuring justice is served transparently. We urge the public to avoid speculation and await official updates as the case progresses,” SP Ejire-Adeyemi stated.
