The Budgit Foundation, with support from the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption (ROLAC) Programme and in collaboration with IDEA International, hosted a landmark event titled “Strengthening Institutional Partnerships for Anti-Corruption Campaigns and Service Delivery” in Adamawa State on February, 15, 2025.
The programme was funded by the European Union (EU), and the goal of the programme was to bring together government agencies, civil society organizations, media, and community leaders to address systemic corruption and improve governance outcomes.
The initiative was part of the EU’s interests to foster transparency and accountability in governance in Nigeria.
Adamawa State officer for the Budgit Foundation stated that the foundation also seeks to strengthen interagency collaboration which is a key to closing government loopholes.
A lot of people see loopholes as enablers of wanton corruption in Nigeria.
“Corruption thrives in silos. This partnership with ROLAC, the EU, and IDEA International reflects our shared vision of institutional synergy to root out malpractice and restore public trust,” said Sadiq Muhammad Jabogi, the Adamawa State Coordinator for Budgit Foundation.
According to Sadiq, it is necessary to restore public trust in governance, and synergy and interagency collaboration would help close down the existing loopholes and accelerate the fight against corruption and bad governance.
The workshop also focused on the urgent need to leverage technology in order to be enable the security forces to live up to the expectation and respond to emergency, using real-time monitoring systems.
Mr. Sadiq Muhammad added that ““This event marks a pivotal step in Adamawa’s journey toward accountability. With sustained support from the EU, ROLAC, and IDEA International, we are committed to translating dialogue into tangible reforms.”
The workshop was attended delegation from the Nigerian Correctional Service, NSCDC, Nigeria Police Force and media representatives.

The event was attended by representatives from security agencies and the civilians in Adamawa.
